Transatlantic Research Partnership – Call for applications 2024

The Transatlantic Research Partnership’s 2024 call for applications is now open!

This program aims to encourage forward-looking collaborative research that tackles today’s issues. It offers $20,000 grants to support two-year projects led by two early-career researchers – one based in the USA, the other in France. These funds will support the transatlantic mobility of researchers and doctoral students, collaborative research activities such as workshops and conferences, and the publication of joint articles.

Projects can cover or combine themes in the humanities, social sciences and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), and the research topic must be linked to one or more of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Eligibility :

  • Projects must be submitted jointly by two early-career researchers (less than 7 years after obtaining their doctorate);
  • Applicants must provide proof that they are employed at an American or French institution for the duration of the partnership, i.e. at least 2 years;
  • American or French citizenship is not required;
  • Doctoral students are not eligible to be project leaders, but each project must include doctoral students.

Calendar :

  • December 1, 2023: call for applications opens.
  • February 29, 2024: call for applications closes
  • July 2024: winners announced
  • September 2024: launch of selected projects
